Vinh has over a decade of experience as a theatre educator and professor. He has taught at San Jose State University, San Diego State University, and Las Positas College, as well as for institutions such as American Conservatory Theater (ACT), TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, and the Academy of Art University. He is a member of the Musical Theatre Educators' Alliance (MTEA), where he served on various committees. Through his private practice, Vinh offers group workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions in performance, repertoire building, and audition & career preparation for adults and high school students. Cultural Consultant
Having lived in Vietnam for the first ten years of his life before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, and now living in New York City, Vinh possesses a unique intercultural perspective that is part of the larger worldwide Vietnamese diaspora. Vinh is deeply invested in and values his Southeast Asian roots and Vietnamese American heritage. As a culture bearer and researcher, Vinh is knowledgeable in Southeast Asian performance arts, histories, cultures, and traditions, through the lens of cultural preservation and community building. He has given lectures, master classes, and spoken on esteem panels at celebratory and educational events, conferences, and higher education institutions. Vinh welcomes the opportunities to engage with any communities to share the richness and nuances of his cultural heritage, as well as his lived experience as a cultural worker and creative artist.
